Ok things a bit non relaxed due to building work.Interesting to see how follow up visit goes.

Having been a Passat owner for a number of years, we were told by a friend and from some online research that the Skoda Octavia was the same only better and cheaper. It isn't. Having been to a local Skoda dealer who didn't have what we were looking for , we thought we'd go and see if there was a nearly new Passat instead. We were not only delighted with the better quality feel of the Passat, we found that a new Passat was no more expensive than a nearly new one. There was no pressure: we were presented with the options and chose. Alex was personable, courteous and knowledgeable, friendly without being familiar. A professional. We look forward to receiving our new car this month.
Can't recommend Benfied VW Carlisle enough. Just bought a new passat estate from Alex. Great service with no pressure selling. Makes buying a new car a great experience. Can't wait for the 1st of March.

After originally going for a service on my Golf , I decided to take a test drive in a brand new Golf with Colin, there was no hard sell no obligation to buy, offers of complimentry coffee :-). On this occasion I didn't buy, but I will be back to purchase in the near future wether new or second hand. Such nice friendly people here can't recommend highly enough!

Generally the experience as fine but there were a number of aspects which were not really to my satisfaction
1) we had agreed to pick the car up on a Wedneday, we were subsequently informed after we had contacted the garage that it wouldn't be available until the Thursday. This meant a days holiday wasted as i sat awaiting confirmation that i could go and pick it up.
2) On colection the car came without any mats. While i appreciate this is common, having bought the car over the internet it would have been nice to have told us this, as this is something geenrally would have featured in the negotiations which had all been completed over the phone prior. Would you have been happy if i had pulled out of the purchase because of this?
3) The was delivered with so little petrol there was genuine concern that i would get to a garage - just what i want a new car two children and my first task is to be walking down the road to get a can of petrol.

We apologise that your vehicle was delivered with such a low fuel level. As you point out, your purchase was made through the Internet and delivery was arranged from another site but it should have been delivered with adequate fuel so that you weren't concerned. I will be writing to you separately on this subject. Had our Internet Team realised mats were important to you, they would have discussed this as part of the negotiations but it is not something we raise as a matter of course. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.
Benfield at Carlisle could not have done any more to make buying my new car any better, I felt like a VIP from beginning to end, I even had a special unveiling of my new car and was presented with a chocolate sports car. The quality of service from all the staff especially Alex and Dwayne was beyond compare, the deal was excellent and my new Volkswagen drives like a dream, thank you so much from a very satisfied customer.
Having been to several dealerships in the last few weeks I have been left feeling very down hearted , walking into Benfield and meeting Micky was like a breath of fresh air. I was listened to, given good advice, shown several cars that fitted my criteria and test drive arranged. Nothing was to much trouble. Follow up phone calls were received, it's been brilliant. I would and will recommend Benfield and in three years time we will be back for another car.
I would just like to say a big thankyou to the staff at benfields at rosehill in carlisle. We recently purchased a new vw and the service we received was first class. We were not in anyway pressured and the selling tactic was designed to work with the needs of the buyer not the seller. attention to detail was without fault and we were made to feel extremely welcome throughout our contact. Sales person was very helpful and went out of his way to try and get us the Best deal he could, I had a vw up and loved it but became pregnant just after we bought it last year and now the baby is here needed something bigger but still affordable, and we where really happy with the help and service we recieved would definataly recommend them
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Benfields. I bought a used vehicle but I was treated like I was buying new. The car had a couple of minor problems which were quickly resolved with no hassle. The whole process was straight forward and pain free

Good service from start. Contacted to have a test drive as they had just had delivery of the new mk 7 GTI. As I have the mk 6 they thought I would be interested. Easy sale after a test drive. Roll on delivery.

I was very happy with the recent inspection service.
I am delighted with my second VW purchased from Benfield Carlisle. As Tim Taylor was so helpful the first time, when I bought a used Golf SE, we went to see him again with a view to purchasing a pre-registered Golf Plus. Tim told us about a special promotion on the new Golf Plus, so we had a test drive and snapped up one of the promotional cars. After collecting the car and finding a couple of minor problems, Tim organised for these to be resolved quickly, so once again, I am a very satisfied Benfield customer.
Garage gave a good service but the booking service was poor as booked my MOT before it was actually due and I had to change the date.

I am what I would class as young(ish) but have several physical problems, however looking at me you wouldnt think I had a problem which often leads to misconceptions and attitude from people that dont know me, however from the first time I walked into Benfield at Carlisle I have been treat with nothing but respect and have been made very welcome by everyone, which is admirable and also rare nowadays.

went in out of the blue a my car brakes where sticking on .they where fully booked up but still managed to fit me in great servce from the Carlisle branch.
This is my second car from the Benfield Dealership. I think the Spring check is great vale for money. However, as part of the check it also includes a wash and vacuum. Unfortuntely this was the only thing that let Benfield down as it was not up to the expected standard.
I have always had exeptional service. The staff are always friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend Benfiel if you are thinking of purchasing a new vehicle.

I entered the Benfield VW showroom at Carlisle with very little hope of being able to afford a new car, but one hour later I left having placed an order for a new Golf. The bright immaculate showroom was busy , which was encouraging to see. I was immediately greeted at the door by a very friendly young sales person who was eager and willing to help. I didn't have a lot of time to spare so we got on with a test drive and in no time at all shook hands on a deal, much better than I had expected.
I have always been looked after really well by the Carlisle Benfield garage. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
My experience with Benfield was second to none. My car went in to sort a minor fault. Whilst there it was routinely checked on the computer and an additional unconnected fault was found and corrected. Great service

I love dealing with Benfield VW in Carlisle. They are professional, but always make you feel welcome, whether just looking to change your car or just popping into book a service. I firmly recommend them. So much so that family member number 3 has been guided towards them

Shaun Yates was the salesman I dealt with in Carlisle and he was excellent. I was a lone woman with two young children in tow and he couldn't have made me feel more comfortable. I supplied him with the car I was looking for and he sat me down in the warmth and offered refreshments for both me and my young children. He didn't keep us waiting long and he informed me every step of the way what he was doing. I felt comfortable on the test drive and I found it a very good test drive in comparison to one I had previously had. The route was lengthy which gave me a good chance to get a feel for the car. He did not put any pressure on me to buy that day and I went away to think about my decision but he ensured me that if I wanted that car they would make sure it happened. I feel I had a very good experience considering I don't know much about cars and felt very daunted by the big show room, that is thanks to Shaun. I would definitely go back and request Shaun's assistance.

I found the salesman to be helpful and not too pushy. I am still not sure what car to buy or where from ,but I do feel confident that Benfield would provide good service after hearing good reports from some friends ,who had dealings with them.

The only problem was Benfield website needs to be kept updated as soon as a car is sold it should be taken off the website.

A no obligation test drive was arranged without problems and the salesman was friendly and knowledgeable with an interest in making sure we selected the correct car for our needs.

Benfield staff are very friendly an offer you every possible offer availiable. They couldn't have helped me more picking my new car!
I had a problem with a warning light being displayed, requiring a visit to "a qualified workshop". Benfield in Carlisle booked me in without delay and remedied the issue with a new sensor. They also identified a need for a new glowplug which they fitted. The result was being back on the road in no time with no cost to myself as warranty covered everything. On top of this my Tiguan had received a courtesy valetting!
Bought a vw jetta from the Carlisle branch, and I was most impressed with product knowledge and friendly professional service I received. I will be returning in the future based on the level of service I was shown. Would highly recommend this branch for any car purchase. It's a 10/10 .

I found the staff at the Carlisle branch of Benfield motors to be very efficient and friendly. They kept me informed when my car would be ready and what had been done to it. Although the car had been in 3 times for the same fault and I hadn't booked it in, twice they managed to get my car looked at within the day. When it had to be kept overnight as a part was being ordered for it, I was offered a courtesy car. I would like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Carlisle and I would definitely recommend Benfield motors as a reputable garage for both sales and aftesales services.

Excellent Service Desk staff who do their utmost to accommodate without over-promising. I was surprised when a what I thought was a fixed priced service was a lot cheaper than expected - Benfield only charged for the time the job took and their pre-paid service plan option provided great savings . The no fuss courtesy car option has been a blessing too. I can highly recommend Benfield.

I've spoken with our Service Manager Simon Barwick and he tells me on inspection your tyres measured 3mm. We follow ROSPA guidelines, an industry standard, which recommends replacing at this depth as your stopping distance is dramatically reduced in wet weather.
Found the staff very friendly and helpful, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
we were greeted by John Buxton when we arrived, had test drive in the touran which was really good, we found all the information that John gave us very helpful.

I was very happy with the way I was treated during my visit to your VW dealership in Carlisle, your salesman Mike was pleasant and informative and seemed very keen without being pushy, unlike some other dealers I have encountered. I was one of those unfortunate Golf owners with the ESP warning light stuck on the dashboard. I couldn't get my car MOT'd this year and it was well out of warranty - it was going to cost hundreds to put it right. Benfield looked at my car the same day, and after we both appealed to VW the day after the "Get Dom" BBC programme was shown. The manufacturer agreed to foot the bill entirely. Benfield put themseves out and booked my car to be fixed then and there, so I could get it MOTd the next day. All in all things were handled very well in the end.
Very professional service each time I have visited a Benfield dealers. No high pressure selling, just friendly honest advice.
Would definately recommend Benfield, especially to women shopping for a car on their own, as you`re NOT made to feel you`re entering a male dominated environment.

My husband and I were pleased with the service and attention we received last week. Although we had a test drive in a Passat there did not seem to be any hard sell from your salesmen to push us on a decision. When we returned the following day we saw John Buxton your sales person who was polite and knowledge, and understood the decision we had made regarding the purchasing of a new car. He was able to source a Skoda Octavia Elegance with one swift phone call. John had a very pleasant friendly nature and sought to meet our needs whateven we had decided upon.
The service provided by Shaun was good and not pressured in any way. Any information i requested was avaible and given in a clear manner, I will be returning to follow up the enquiry i have made with no issues to the service todate
