Bought the car from Harrogate branch. Daniel was up to date with all the latest engines and technology he answered all our questions was very knowledgeable about everything. He was also very patient and checked all options for us. We never felt rushed. We have already recommended him to a friend. A very pleasant experience.
I saw Danny, who couldn't have made the experience of but a new car any better. He explained EVERY option to me, from the car itself to the finance options. I informed him of the type of car I wanted, and he explained the differences between all the models. I said I didn't need a test drive, and Danny has kept me upto date with the progress of the order. A great experience, an one I will be repeating when my NEXT new car is needed
The sales rep Nigel McCarthy gave us a good understanding of the vehicle and was very helpful at every stage of the process. We collected the car today 30/09/2013 again Nigel made everything simple easy to understand and was very helpful once again saying he was only a phone call away or call in if we needed any further information. This left my wife and I feeling great and will seek Nigel and Benfield Ford to purchase another Ford car when we are in a position to change our car.
I experienced a simple easy process for buying a car from Benfield Ford. The sales person was informative, easy to contact, and prompted me through every step of the purchase process in a straight froward manner.

Thanks for your feedback and maximum score. We are aware that sometimes on busy days parking can be tight, but when visiting us please park up safely and approach a member of staff who will assist you in locating a suitable parking space.
I was assured by salesman and manager that the car (which was at another branch) would be prepared to a high standard and agreed to it being ordered. On delivery to me it showed obvious defects: missing strut on tailgate, two long scratches on bodywork, poor front bumper repair, number plate held on with sticky tape, misaligned and marked rear bumper, tyre walls cracking. I had to seek independent advice, at my own cost, before Benfield accepted my concerns. A new delivery date was arranged whilst some of these issues were addressed. After delivery, the car was returned the next day due to fault with temperature gauge and concern about coolant level. The car has spent three days off the road due to on-going erratic temperature reading. Back bumper still seems a bit loose to me also. Benfield staff have been courteous throughout which has been appreciated but overall my experience has not been positive due to poor preparation of car.

We must apologise for the poor preparation of your vehicle which had been transferred from another dealership. It should have arrived fully prepped but, due to a breakdown in process and communication, this was not the case; however our staff should have checked the vehicle prior to you picking it up. We accept this error and have put procedures in place to avoid such an event occurring in future. Thanks for your feedback.
I was searching for a 4WD, manual, Skoda Superb with sunroof. This is quite rare and Benfield seemed to be the only dealer that could offer one. The initial contact was with the Sales Manager who was helpful.
When we visited your premises the Sales Manager passed us onto a salesman who took us for a test drive and was also very helpful.
We live about 130 miles from your premises so, after we agreed to purchase the car, we arranged to collect it a few days later at 2p.m.
We arrived about 1.45 p.m. and the salesman was busy with other customers. It seemed like he was doing all the work because there were other sales people there who did not seem to be doing very much.
Unfortunately we then had to wait until about 2:30 p.m. before the salesman could hand over the vehicle and, even then, he did seem a bit rushed because he had other customers waiting.
Other than the wait for the vehicle everything was fine. The car was presented clean and well prepared.

With hindsight we should have asked another Sales Executive to start the paperwork which would have saved time. Everything is fine except that we have not yet received the missing umbrella that the salesman promised us. We also notice that the I from the badge TDI is missing. Have you an I? If so please post it with the umbrella and I will stick it on.

Friendly and professional service from Benfield Ford, Harrogate. Staff were informative but not pushy. Available insurance and service extras were briefly explained and offered, but no fuss made when I decided not to sign up for them. A short, polite follow-up courtesy call a few days after my purchase was appreciated. Pretty much exactly the kind of service you might hope for when buying a car.

Very professional at all times. Even though we could only visit the garage very late in the day it was no trouble and we didn't feel rushed at any time. Michael took all the time needed to explain everything to my daughter. She is well pleased with her new car.

Although initially very happy with the service I have received I have since found out that once you have paid your money the after care is very disappointing. Minor issues have not been addressed as promised.

As has always been the case with seven new vehicles bought from Benfield Ford over the years; the Service and attention to detail was first class.The sales executive,Chris Harper was excellent and the sale of the new vehicle including the Finance package was all completed in under an hour.The two terms i would use would be professionalism and quality and i would have no reservations in recommending Benfield Harrogate to friends and family.Very well done and Thankyou.
my experiance with your salesman was overall very good although they do give the impression that benfield are paying for the £20 of fuel and the road tax but as i was shown all the paper work ity is very clear that these are added to the price of the car (no reciept is provided for the fuel so benfield cannot prove they actually put this in the car)
i was also told that the car had been serviced and fully checked over,this has not been the case. under the bonnet was covered completely in dirt,so much so that you couldnt tell what the colour of the paintwork is,i have spent to date 3 hours cleaning the engine compartment.due to the condition of the engine compartment i checked the air filter,which i have had to change as it was not fit for purpose,the fuel filter looks as though it has never been changed so i have had to change it and so i can only assume the engine oil needs changing,your service dept hadnt even topped this up,it is well below the top mark.
i can only assume that your service dept checked the service schedule,saw it had been stamped in february and decided nothing needed checking.
i feel so strongly about the state the engine compartment was in and the lack of checks that i am considering putting a complaint in to ford uk,as an approved dealer i would have expected a much better level of service and i should not have to spend money servicing a car myself that i have had a week,your harrogate dealership is an hours drive away from me so its not convenient for me to travel there to complain and get this car to the level of cleanliness and service as i would have expected

I recently bought a Ford from the Harrogate branch.
On arrival we were asked if we needed any help and I explained we needed to have a good look at the cars on view.
No hassle or pressure was put on us at any stage and we took about 1 hour to choose a car we liked.
After making our decision we asked the salesman Dave to proceed and were given a test drive of about 30 minutes, on return we decided to buy the car.
I pointed out a small external fault on the vehicle and it was dealt with to our complete satisfaction in the days between us buying the car and collecting it.
I had an old worn out car and this was taken without fuss for part exchange at a price we found acceptable.
To sum up I would recommend Benfield garage to everyone I know.
Dave the salesman was extremely well mannered and made us feel very comfortable throughout the buying process and is a credit to the business.

Initialy dealt with David Combes after seeing a Ford Focus on the website agreed the deal with David, the car itself was at the Horrogate branch and was then passed through to Simon Tennant who then arranged to have the car delivery to my home address, the first time in seen the car was when it was delivered by Frank the driver, I checked over the car everything was as promised. The fact I remember everyone's name is a testament to the excellent service I received from Benfield Motors all in all the least stressful car buying experience ever. I will defiantly buy from Benfield again sets the standards for other car dealers.
