  • Would it not be easier to arrange finance through a direct lender, such as an internet bank or my building society?

    No. Benfield Motor Group can act as a simple one-stop shop, offering a quick decision as well as immediate confirmation of the interest rate and the monthly payment you will pay.

    To confirm that you qualify for finance, Benfield will only ask 4 simple questions:

    • Where you live.
    • Who your employer is.
    • Your bank details.
    • How long you have been with your bank.

    These questions will ensure the process is as quick and simple as possible. Most direct lenders will ask many more, often intrusive questions, lengthening and complicating the process.

  • Are there any advantages of a Hire Purchase agreement over a Personal Loan?

    Yes, there can be many. It is essential that you check the following details as the personal loan you are considering may be a very different product:

    • A Personal Loan will show on a credit search, which may impact on your credit limit whereas a Hire Purchase agreement is finance against the car, so leaving you greater future borrowing opportunity.
    • If you take out a regulated conditional sale agreement (hire purchase), this is enforced by the Consumer Credit Act, offering you enhanced protection.
    • Early settlement of a personal loan may attract an interest penalty whereas a Hire Purchase agreement may involve a rebate of interest.

  • Can't I get a better deal for cash?

    No. We can often give you a better deal on your part exchange or the car you wish to buy, by virtue of the opportunity we have to earn finance commission when we arrange finance for your car. Let us know up front if you will be financing your car through a personal loan, and give us the chance to offer you a better deal.

  • Can you arrange finance for me if I have had credit problems in the past?
