Almost all have alloy wheels and many have electric operation of the rear windows too. Optional equipment on either all or virtually all models includes automatic transmission, metallic paint, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, parking sensors and satellite navigation.
The Ford Focus Coupe Cabriolet boasts an electrically-opening and closing steel roof and offers accommodation for four people with generous levels of equipment that includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, CD sound system with MP3 connectivity and the option of automatic transmission in the case of the two-litre petrol models.
The Ford Focus gets a top five-star EuroNCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection and four stars for child occupant protection. All models have anti-lock brakes and ESP Electronic Stability Programme plus front, side and curtain air bags. In terms of the environment there are no less than four different models within the range that have a CO2 figure below 120g/km.
The lowest-emitting is the 1.6 TDCi ECOnetic at just 114g/km, which also averages more than 65mpg. The 1.6 TDCi 110 (DPF) has a CO2 figure of 119g/km whilst the standard 1.6 TDCi 90 weighs in at just 118g/km.
The Ford Focus comes with no less than ten different power outputs giving a huge spread of performance and economy according to the users’ needs. Some versions of the 1.6 TDCi concentrate upon being as environmentally friendly as possible and attract tax concessions as a result. There are also Flexi Fuel models that are becoming increasingly in demand.
